SEO and Link Building Strategy
Once upon a time SEO meant only link building for a website. The process was simple - get as many links as possible for your website. SEO experts used different forms of link building like reciprocal, three way and even n way.
But days are changing very fast as the search engines are growing smarter and going wild for quality. (After all it is their business and if they cannot offer good result, people will flee to another search engine.)
As blogs are becoming more and more popular among real people, the scenario is changing very fast.
Why?
As long as we are in the HTTP protocol, the most effective way for search engines to rank a website is to evaluate the number and quality of incoming links. There had been nothing wrong with this strategy since blogs came into existence in great number. Bloggers are famous for linking out and normal bloggers link to quality content only.
Believe it or not, these days it is clear that search engines are giving more value to blogs (for what ever reasons like regular content update or non profit attitude) and if you can have bloggers in your favor, half of your tasks are done to improve search engine rank.
However, if you want to sustain the rank that you achieved with your entire link building efforts (like article submission, directory submission, reciprocal linking), you must satisfy your visitors. And the best way to satisfy your visitors is to offer them quality content.
If you are not very new to SEO industry, you must be knowing that, Google tracks user behavior to evaluate overall ranking of a website for specific keywords. Thus content must be properly developed so that it satisfies both search engines and general visitors.
And today, SEO is not just about going wild for links, it is about developing a complete marketing plan which would help your website gather more votes (links) for better search engine rankings.
