hello…. i have recently had a new bathroom fitted and have started to notice small black mould spots on some of the tiles… the tiles are not the smooth type they are textured so the mould seems to be ingrained in the tile how do i remove it i have tried the usual mould removal potions and a good scrub with a nail brush and bleach but this did not work.. can any one help me get rid of these black spots that seem to be growing in numbers… many thanks..

My towels are being attacked by mildew. I know the usual soultions of lemon and sun etc but the towels dry outside on the wash line and it does not remove it. I am worried that spores are lodged in the washing machine, and also passing from one towel to the other in the airing cupboard. Does anyone have any knowledge about this. It is getting expensive replacing endless towels.

Hm, the mold is originating from somewhere. Have you emptied your closet to see if there's any hiding in a corner, etc.? If so, Spray some bleach on the spot, let it sit overnight, then clean with soap & water the next morning. (or use a product specifically designed to get rid of mold).
If it's not your closet, then try running an empty washing cycle in your washing machine, using the hottest temp. and adding 3 cups of bleach along with some soap. That will kill any mold in the machine.
I know this sound's silly and you probably do it, make certain your towels are completely dry before putting them away.
As for your present towels, whether they're colored or not, wash them in the hottest temp. alone in your washing machine with your soap and approx. 1/2 c. of bleach, that will remove the mold from them.
The bottom line though, is you have to discover where the mold is coming from, the source and catch it there, otherwise it'll continue to happen. Good luck!

I live in a condo and recently heard a neighbor comment she has black mold in her room, i later was looking for something in my closet and found the walls had black mold on them. And it was on some of my formal dresses. I tried to clean it with bleach, and it removed a lot of it, but not all of it. Whats the best way to deal with this issue… i have heard everything from cutting the drywall out or using a product called KILZ will that work? Is it dangerous to my health? how so? can i dry clean the dresses or are they just garbage?

Bleach alone will not kill mold, it just makes it white for a while. The sheetrock will probably need replacing, but only as a last resort as the back side of the sheetrock is probably covered. If the moisture source is removed there's a chance the mold will die. I'm not sure how to clean your dresses. Sorry. Good luck

This is a 2002 neon that has been in bad storage and is now filled with mold. You can't see it but the smell is OVERWHELMING.
